February 19, 2020: Addressing Oregon’s Addiction Crisis

Oregon ranks last in the U.S. for access to addiction treatment services, while also consistently ranking in the top 10 nationally for its high rate of addicted persons. The state’s Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission will soon issue a comprehensive strategic plan for building a new recovery-oriented continuum of care. Hear what’s needed to address this problem, how improved recovery services may be funded, and how treatment for patients with substance-use disorder may be strengthened in Oregon.
